The History of the World

Book Review by: Dr_Tami_Brady

Original Author: Shyam Mehta
The History of the World is the result of the author’s meditations on the purpose of history. In these musings, the author
looks at history from a somewhat different perspective than most contemporary history books. This perspective is akin to both philosophy and religion as this work examines the core philosophies of various cultures in regards to their closeness to God as opposed to dates and description of past events described in most history books. Nonetheless, there are several really interesting concepts discussed in this book. The author states the earth was created for man’s spiritual development and the universe was created for mankind’s development. In this way, the author illustrates a very purposeful reason for creation. Moreover, this creation was more of a rearrangement of nothingness into positive and negative energy than a creation of something entirely new. The evolution of life is described in terms of prana energy, chakra development, and the various types of energy fields.
