This paper discusses the increasing rate of crime and
violence in Mexico. The paper examines the
economic, social and political
ramifications of the drastic levels of crimes and
violence. The rise in urban poverty is claimed to be one of the reasons for the rise in crime. The paper explains that the high statistics of crime and violence in Mexico, have significantly impeded any social and
economic development.
