Shadow of FDR," William E. Leuchtenburg follows the presidencies of all of the men who followed Franklin
D. Roosevelt and compares their presidential styles to his. He argues that all of these men lived in the
shadow of FDR, striving for but never quite achieving what he did in his presidency. This book review critically examines Leuchtenburg's arguments.
