Virginia

Book Summary by: AcaDemon

In the early 17th century, a book inspired by Sir Walter Raleigh and written by Richard Hakluyt, entitled "Western Planting,"
built up great interest in American colonization. In 1606, the settlers established the first permanent American settlement called Jamestown in Virginia. The paper follows the history of Virginia, from its settlement led by Captain Newport to its flourishing under the leadership of John Smith. The paper then details the lives of seven founding fathers of Virginia, John Blair, James Madison, George Mason, James McClurg, Edmund Randolph, George Washington and George Wythe.
