Over the past 70 years, three major
federal government
programs saw the light of day. The New Deal under President Roosevelt, the Great Society proposed by President Lyndon Johnson, and the Reagan Revolution under President Ronald Reagan all had unusual and sometimes controversial components. I will briefly discuss each of these in this paper.
