This paper is a comparison of the Presidencies of Thomas Jefferson and Andrew Jackson. It contends that Jefferson
introduced political parties and the political structures of the American national government while Jackson introduced actual Democracy to the nation. It concludes that while each were remarkable in their Presidencies, it is Jackson's which has had the most lasting of impacts.
