This paper shows how Eleanor of Aquitaine was a strong, independent, but sometimes ruthless woman who still managed to be
a good
mother, grandmother, and mother-in-law through it all, even though, in some instances, her family was undeserving of it. A summary of the research is provided in the conclusion.
