This paper attempts to answer the question of what it means to be moral and shows that defining the limits of human morality
is a complex and ambiguous task. It discusses in detail two
different models by two different philosophers -Thrasymachus and Plato. After considering the strengths and weaknesses of each model, including the personal consequences of adopting one, the paper concludes by selecting one of the models as being (personally) preferable, even if it is not as true.
