This
paper explores the issue of sex within Christianity. The paper begins by defining that while sex itself is not forbidden,
sex outside of marriage along with any other similar acts such as incest and rape is considered a grave sin, referred to as "going after strange flesh" in the Old Testament. The
paper includes a review of the some of the literature on the topic as well as a brief history of sex in Christianity, ultimately rejecting extreme views and presenting the middle path.
