The Torah commonly translated as "teaching" is broadly defined in Judaism as a way of
life, and encompasses every aspect
of
life from birth through death. It is divided into two parts--the written Torah or Mosaic Code, and the oral commandments or the Talmud. The purpose of this paper is to discuss various meanings of the Torah and their interpretations in different theories.
