This paper
examines how
masturbation has always been a topic of serious debate and how the question of whether or not masturbation
is moral is a constant battle. It looks at how questions about its harmfulness stem from many studies done to evaluate the effects of
masturbation and how, from these studies, few issues have been raised, including Traumatic Masturbatory Syndrome, or TMS. It attempts to define what is considered masturbation, discuss who masturbates, and explore the problems associated with masturbation, such as TMS. It also
examines how opinions of masturbation have changed throughout history.
