There have long been disparities among Bible scholars concerning the relative accuracy of the Bible's
creation story. The
source of disagreement appears to be the fact that the
creation story itself contains within it a small discrepancy; the creation myth presented in the Bible is actually told twice and is not necessarily in agreement with itself. This paper highlights the main distinctions between the Bible's creation myths, i.e., the order of creation, Eve begotten from Adam's rib or from the earth, the mythic
qualities of both versions as opposed to their "truthful" qualities, etc. Also the idea that there were two authors for the different stories is suggested and explored.
