Preity Zinta gives as good as she gets. She is the picture perfect Bollywood lass, ever obliging and absolutely in control. There are many zinta-lating high-energy performances and relationship-oriented character she played – the bold lass from the south in Dil Se…., the gritty cop in Sangharsh , the wronged and determined collegian in kya kehna , the streetwalker who dares to dream of motherhood in chori chori chupke chupke, the spoilt brat who thinks that the world is her oyster in Armaan, the earnest, all-giving stepdaughter in Dil Hai Tumhaara, the orphan who suppresses her love at the altar of misplaced gratitude in Dil Chahta Hai, and the NRI with a complex in Kal Ho Na Ho. Then, there was that idealistic character that Preity Zinta so convincingly in Veer—Zaara and last but not the least, her real-
life relationship with industrialist Ness Wadia.
While she is open to any work, she is clear that she will handle only as much as she can take and, of course, “the script has to be exciting”, said Preity.

won many awards, done tours like Temptations 2004, and above all, she won millions of hearts with her dimpled, chatty girl-next-door image. But life was like never like that for her. Her father died when she was 13 in a car accident. Her mother was bedridden because of this incident.
In her personal life, she has been linked with few of her co-stars such as Salmaan Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and Aamir Khan but has always dismissed them as rumours. She is currently dating the heir to the Bombay Dyeing Company Ness Wadia.She has also been linked with mafia, but she faced the trial in 2004 and was respectfully out of it.
