Goa, a place that urges you to break free from your reticent demeanor and seek yourself a perfect bliss, is a scintillating
destination in itself. Geographically in the vicinity of Mumbai, Goa, best known for its swift free ways, also houses diverse
cultures, urban environment and a playful sea. Whether it’s the bars, the rocking nightlife, brasserie or the rambling shops Goa assimilates it all. Incorporating in its splendid landscape, every native and foreigner, it offers an ardent time to all.
Spectacular
beaches are undeniably the first things that surface our minds when we think of Goa. Verdant setting with shiny sands and a backdrop of clean blue sky makes its beaches a favorite hangout for all. Amongst them the famous are the Calangute, Colva, Dona-Paula, Miramar and Vagator, where, cool azure water issues a tempting invitation to the bathers. Many spend time gazing, sea vessels fading away from their eyes far into the blue waterbed. The vast expanse of serene waters also harbors some amazing water and beach sports such as parasailing, volleyball, sea surfing etc. A large amount of exquisite junk jewellery, souvenirs and sarongs being sold on the sea beaches finds its way to the visitors’ pockets.
Goa, where you find yourself caught up in the serendipity of a paranormal scenario, offers more than just beaches. If you are overfilled by the view of never-ending waterbed, it offers lakes for you. Mayem Lake is the most favorable amongst the tourists. Having a boat ride here is a pleasure in itself.
Goa also harbors an array of churches, the most captivating of which is the Basilica church where lies the casket of sacred relics of St.Francis Xavier. It offers an immense peaceful atmosphere.
Amongst the churches, Shantadyurga temple with its clamor and clangor has its own importance, presence of which shows an intermixing of various religions and cultures. Truly making Goa a melting pot of cultures.
Another fascinating attraction is the ferries, small open-air vessels that cut across the blue seawater. At dusk, people dance on the Goan beats on the ferries, is a delight to watch. A lot of levity, jiving and merrymaking on these ferries hold you to stay on them for long.
Inter-alia, if you are a connoisseur then Goa is the right place to be in. Cooling refreshments of coconut water, barbeques of grilled fish and veggies being displayed on the exotic beaches; sumptuous victuals served at all restaurants would ring a bell in your belly pleasing your appetite.
Among other things, fenny is the best-known Goan drink to quench your thirst.
On the one hand you find here the jubilant, wacky and jovial outsiders and on the other the ardor natives who would magnetize you to the place. Notwithstanding the large amount of denizens in Goa, the lingua franca is English, which is no more alien to the natives.
Goa, a place where the sun meets the blue lagoon, a place where a lot of revelry, and voluminous merrymaking keeps you afloat in this heavenly abode. Once you leave it, it will urge you to come again for a rendezvous with the picturesque sunset.
