AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF PADMINI INTRODUCTION I am now 52yrs old that means I have spent nearly above 18000 days in this world. I think I am lucky to be in this world for these days. I have seen some
relatives and friends of mine died early stage. From my childhood the world is seem to me a wonderful place, so I use to feel sad about their deaths. Now I decide to write all memories of my life to my extend. If one opposes my wish, I will stop writing. BIRTHDAY OF PADMINI September 11, 1953 in a small town Sivakasi early in the morning a baby was
born in 31, Vetri Gnaniar Street. Head of that
family Karuppaiah Nadar was very delighted hearing the birth of another
girl child for him. Yes, after having 6 sons in that family now there are two daughters. When the first daughter was born all relatives, friends and neighbours rushed to see the girl child. As my mother explained that moment, all delighted to see the seventh as a girl and at the meantime described the girl as Karuvachi, which means ‘blackish. When I was born, my mother
used to say I was fair. My father as soon as seeing me he went to get the horoscope written. According to him my eyes were seem to be very big, so he named me PADMINI. MY BEAUTIFUL
YOUNGER SISTER! W hen I was 2yrs old my younger sister was born. In those days usually in our families parents would name their children grandparents' names. So my parents used to call my
elder sister as Senthiammal (mother of my father) and my younger sister as Thangathai (in remembrance of my father's elder sister who died before our births). My father often used to say that my elder sister was just like his mother and my younger sister was just like his sister. Relatives and neighbours also said that.
