It was a beautiful spring day. I went to my balcony to get a glimpse of the sun. A friend of mine who was passing by saw me in the balcony. He told me he had a surprise for me. So, I went outside to see what it was all about. He was holding a cute little kitten in his arms. He said it was for me. I accepted it because it was a gift, but I knew I didn't have the proper conditions to raise a cat in the house. She was so cute, she had her paws and nose pink, which made me name her "Rosa". After several days, I was walking in the street, and suddenly I saw a couple of boys making fun of a little kitten. They wanted to throw her in the garbage. I went over there and begged them to give her to me, because it didn't have to be this way. They finally agreed to give her to me, and I so I came to raising her, as well as Rosa, in a recess in one of walls of the building I used to live in . After another 2 weeks, my friend Andreea also received a cat as a present. Everything was O.K. until one day when the cat licked the butter they left on the table. Her parents said they didn't care about it anymore, and they kicked the cat out of the house. They were bad parents, who didn't actually care about their daughter's feelings, or about the poor helpless kitten. Andreea came with her kitten to me and she was crying heavily. I got the message and I accepted her cat because I simply couldn't let my friend down. The days passed by and then winter came. I can't tell you, dear readers, how much I suffered. I had 3 mouths to feed, and food was very expensive. Thank God, I somehow managed to cater for my little kittens and spring came eventually. I took my cats to my grandparents' farm where they had lots of space and freedom to do whatever they liked. Where I raised them, there were some mean kids and adults who didn't have better things to do but bother me and my cats. At last, I was happy, seeing them run in a beautiful garden....I love them so much!
