Abraham Lincoln University (www.alu.edu) is one of the few distance learning online law schools. Requirements for entry into
the law school are at least two years of college or 60 credit hours, and completion of College Level Examination
Program with English plus any two of the following: Humanities, College Mathematics, Natural Sciences, and Social Sciences and History. Annual tuition is $6,500, with financial aid available. Four years completes the law school bar and non-bar programs. The only state bar eligible exam is California and the Federal Government. All classes are online however, live classroom support is offered several times a week in downtown Los Angeles. Also, live chat rooms exist for questions between
students and professors.
Concord Law School (www.concordlawschool.com) is a completely online law school program. Requirements for entry in the school is a Bachelor’s degree with a 3.0 GPA or higher. Annual tuition is $8,200 per year. Financial assistance and payment plans available. Part time study of 20 hours per work is required. Three to Six years completes the law school program. Programs offered are the Juris Doctor, Executive Juris Doctor, and Executive Juris Doctor Health Law Track Program. The only eligible bar exam is California. Communications with professors happens weekly with chat rooms, emails, and periodic phone conferences. The school provides law advisors to help students meet his/her goals. Students are welcome from anywhere, but must meet minimum electronic requirements. Credits can be transferred from other schools however certain rules and restrictions apply. Concord offers career services to help people further their careers.
British American University (www.british-american.edu) is an online law university. The L.S.A.T. is not required for entry in the law school program. Annual tuition is $4,000 per year plus fees. Tuition payment arrangements are available for students. Four years completes the program with 20 hours per week study. There are direct phone lines and email for questions to professors. All students must take the First Year Law Student Exam. The only state eligible for bar exam is California, but once accepted to California Bar students can take other states bar exams after three to five years of practice. Students can also work in Federal Government anywhere after graduating and passing the California Bar Exam.
