Scholarships are offered by an organization or a group of people who want to help certain section of the student.
It may be for charity or fame for that organization. Basically the decision will be taken by a small group of people who belong to a certain community or sect of people. So you must be familiar with the intensions and goals of that group before applying for the scholarship. Better try

Once you have selected the organization find out what the organization is looking for. What is there business and how can you be presentable before them. Small things like your hobbies, your friends, your previous schools etc will matter. Do not try to bluff but present what appeal to them in a high lighted way.
Before proceeding you have to gather all your papers. School certificate, college certificates, certificates received for extra curricular activities. Collect your birth certificate, nativity certificate, other licenses and certificates that matter you. Certificates related to computer education and social service forums etc. will rank high with your sponsor, so don’t forget to collect them also. To apply for grants issued by religious groups certificate from your priest is essential. Also collect all certificates that belong to your parents stating their income and educational qualifications are to be furnished. Some forms may ask your brothers or sisters qualifications also.
If you are applying for a grant for a higher education abroad then you have to submit the admission ticket received from the foreign
university and your travel documents like passport and visa etc.
Once you have ready with all items then start building up a small write up or essay telling what you are and why you need help. Imagine that you are asking for your brother’s bike and he is reluctant to give that. How you will convince him. Give such simple reasoning to post your essays. You can publish that in your Blog and see the response before finally submitting it. Discuss the resume and essays with your parents, teachers and friends. Make necessary corrections from their end. Now you are armed and ready for the search.
