The concept of the work
team has grown in its application in the past decade. This discussion analyzes the use of work
teams
at Texas Instruments (TI). All TI employees receive
team training to prepare them for
work as team members. However, teams are only developed when they are the most appropriate solution to the problem-at-hand. Most importantly, TI is committed to self-directed work teams not simply work teams.
