This paper explores the
problem of health care
payment fraud by looking at the types of fraud committed, the laws broken
as a result, and by describing those who often perpetrate the crime. Also discussed, are initiatives that are in place to help reduce or even completely eliminate health care
payment fraud and the technological advances in software that may provide the ultimate solution to the
problem.
