This paper looks at the beginnings of Communism in Russia and Fascism in Germany and Italy after World War 1. It asks important
questions such as how citizens of these countries could embrace such freedom-limiting forms of government. Points of discussion include: Governmental documents, Marxist influence, charismatic leadership. Fascism and Communism are described in a fair amount of detail, and are also compared to each other.
