Purpose: To study the effect of Liu Wei Dihuan Wan Pills and Beclomathasone Diproionate Aerosol (BDA) on reactivity of the
air passage and
blood eosinophilic granulocyte in the allergy- induced guinea pigs. Methods: Except the normal control
group, all the other 5 groups were given injection into the abdominal cavity with the BDA to induce allergy reaction. Then the normal saline of egg alumin was injected into nasal cavity for excitation to prepare the
asthma model group. From the day of the allergy reaction, some pigs were sprayed with BDA to prepare the BDA group, and some were perfused into the stomach with Liu Wei Dihuan Wan Pills to prepare another group. And the normal control group and the asthma model group were perfused with distill water. Then the peripheral blood
Eosinophilic granulocyte was determined. Also the egg alumin BDA was injected into the air passage for excitation in vitro so as to test the broncho- pulmonary perfusion flow. Results: The broncho- pulmonary perfusion flow in the guinea pigs given Liu Wei Dihuan Wan Pills and different dosages of BDA was higher than that in the asthma model group, the BDA group and the group with only Liu Wei Dihuan Wan Pills, with significance being great (P<0.05). Blood eosinophilic granulocyte in the group given Liu Wei Dihuan Wan Pills and different dosages of BDA was lower than that in the asthma model group, the BDA group and the group given Liu Wei Dihuan Wan Pills with greatly different significance (P<0.05). Conclusions: Liu Wei Dihuan Wan Pills plus BDA can alleviate inflammation in the air passage, lower the reactivity of the air passage and blood eosinophilic granulocyte.
