Objective: To contrast the clinic curative effect of ibuprofen suspension with that of lysine acetylsalicylate on acute respiratory tract infection with high fever. Method: To choose 105 children suffering porn acute respiratory tract infection with high fever were chosen and divide into two groups at random, on treated with ibuproten suspension and the other with lysine acetylsalicylate while in the second half ibuprofen suspension and lysine. Results: In the first half hour, temperature fell faster in the group treated with lysine acetylsalicylate. While in the second half, ibuprofen suspension and lysine acetylsalicylate had the same effect in fever redcuing. In the second hour, the temperature of children treated with ibuprofen suspension fell to the normal level, which could be maintained for 8 hours. In respect of relieving pharynx ache and headache the curative effect of ibuprofen suspension is more obvious than lysine acetylsalicylate injection. Condusion: The anti-pyretic eftect of ibuprofen suspension is similar lo lysine acetylsalicylate, and ibuprofen is more convenient to use orally.
