Objective:As stated in the title.Methods:85 patients with H.pylori gastritis were randomly divided to receive tinidazole-triple
therapy (tinidazole 0.5g bid,amoxicillin 1.0g bid,and CBS 220 mg bid)for 2 weeks or
metronidazole-triple therapy (metronidazole 0.4g bid,amoxicillin 1.0g bid and CBS 220 mg bid)for 2 weeks.Results:The
eradication rate of H.pylori for tinidazole-triple therapy group was 83.7%(36/43)vs 76.2%(32/42)for metronidazole-triple therapy group. The pain relief rate for tinidazole-triple therapy group was 86.2%(25/29)vs 84.0%(21/25) for metronidazole-triple therapy group. The incidence of side effect in metronidazole-triple therapy group was 31.0%(13/42) significantly higher than 11.6%(5/43)in tinidazole-triple therapy group. Conclusion:No significant differences between groups are observed in H.pylori eradication rate and pain relief rate, but significant differences between group are observed in the incidence rate of side effect.Metronidazole-triple therapy is superior to tinidazole-triple therapy. <
