In order to further develop friendship, mutual
understanding, knowledge and cooperation between two key institutions in the
sector of education, the ministries of education of China and Italy will launch an initiative called The Sino-Italian Friendship Week to take place in Italian and Chinese schools. Special courses about the history, culture and language of the two countries will be set up for the occasion, to promote direct relationships and exchanges between the schools and the students of China and Italy.
At the end of the Friendship Week, the
individuals who produce the best examples of study and research will be awarded a one-week trip to the partner country. During the trip the selected individuals will participate in educational and cultural activities at the schools, with the aim of deepenening the knowledge and
understanding acquired during the 'Friendship Week'.
