THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala's capital Thiruvananthapuram has been rated as the best city with IT/IT enabled Services (IteS)
infrastructure followed by Vishakapatnam and Kolkata, besides being rated second in terms of availability of human talent across India.
Manpower Services India Pvt. Ltd., a Gurgaon based human resource consultancy, conducted the survey among twelve prominent cities of the country.
The survey covered cities of Kolkota, Vizag, Pune, Mysore, Chandigarh, Bhubaneshwar, Nagpur, Nasik, Indore, Goa, Jaipur besides Thiruvananthapuram.
The report put out by the consultancy suggests India as a growing destination for
outsourcing of manufacturing, IT and ITeS.
Of these, the ITeS sector also labelled as Business Process Outsourcing is the fastest growing segment. The Techno Park campus here offers state-of-the-art
infrastructure and support services for IT/ITeS companies. With more than 108 companies and 12,500 employees, the Park is in its expansion mode and aims to provide 60,000 additional jobs over the next three years.
