Whether you steal one pound or one billion
pounds, you are a thief.
And you are as guilty as those who stole more than you.
The impression of the present President of Nigeria that he is holier than the corrupt former rulers of Nigeria can fool the
rest of the world, but cannot fool Nigerians. Because, we are living witnesses of the on-going looting of Nigeria from Lagos to Abuja.
We want all the
stolen billions of pounds, dollars and naira to be recovered by peace or by force. Since we cannot punish the dead, we should recover their ill-gotten loot. But, their surviving looters of the oil wealth of Nigeria from Niger State to Adamawa State and from Ogun State to Abia State must be put on trial. And all the evil geniuses of the most corrupt oligarchy in the world who are still looting Nigeria should be made to account for the missing and stolen billions of Nigeria.
If the late Gen. Sani Abacha stolen between $2 and $4 billion, what of the rest?
Where is the rest of the loot? And in whose bank accounts are the stolen billions of dollars and pounds?
Before harassing the Swiss Banks and other Western banks that are the custodians of our stolen billions, the President should begin the judicial process to arrest the looters in Nigeria who are well known to him and most of them are in his ruling party. The political hypocrisy must stop. Remove first the beam in your own eye before you can clearly see and remove the mote in the eye of your neighbour.
The evil geniuses are still here in Nigeria and we must bring them before the Anti-Graft Commission to account for their shares of the missing and stolen billions of our hard currency. The late Gen. Sani Abacha is dead and cannot defend himself. But, he did not rule alone and he did not embezzle or misappropriate our funds alone. All those who ruled with him and got the contracts for the white elephant projects that gulped billions of dollars and pounds must be probed and brought to book. The President of Nigeria cannot and should not make the family of the late Gen.Sani Abacha the scapegoats of his vendetta. His kith and kin and former military leaders before and after the late Gen. Sani Abacha must be probed. Until this is done, the President of Nigeria is an accomplice and a protector of criminals like the wanted notorious warlord Charles Taylor of Liberia whom the President of Nigeria is protecting in Nigeria, because of the business deals Charles Taylor has with the corrupt oligarchy of the ruling party in Nigeria. The President of Nigeria is already implicated and must tell Nigeria and the rest of the world the truth. Because, a thief is a thief as a chief is a chief. Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, the ruling Executive President of Nigeria must be made to tell us the truth.
