Many of us (myself included) have been there: Someone at work catches your eye, and every time you see this person, your
stomach gets all fluttery. And the object of your desire seems interested in you, too. You want to go for it, but you’re afraid of the consequences. Should you be?

Just think of two high-profile cases of relationships begun at work. Jesse Spencer and Jennifer Morrison, who costar as Drs. Chase and Cameron on the TV show “House,” recently announced their engagement. On the other hand, there’s the hot story of the week: The astronaut who drove 900 miles in adult diapers to threaten the life of a woman she saw as her romantic rival. Yikes.
All I know is, when emotion is involved, good judgment can go out the window. I know some of the stupidest things I’ve ever done have been for love. Do you really want to mix so much passion and feeling with the cold realities of business?
