Money for nothing: How to get cash free
Free money, no, but there is as a few methods of freeing your money form the trivial nonsense that we are duped
into buying day on day and creating our own free money source i.e. ourselves. A few psychological reasons lie in these, do do with a) hard physical cash being harder to part with than the virtual stuff! and b) and The ease at which we succombe to direct / indirect above and below the line advertisng.
A few solutions to both then; i) Pay yourself a wage outside of your salary i.e physically take what you want to spent in a week, from the cash machine and hide your plastic. Be realistic though, include bills, fuel and a small comtigency for misshaps e.g unforseen party. This works but be disciplined other wise your duping yourself as much as the card companies do! ii) Spare change and the odd note left at the end of the week, or day, should be hidden from yourself (we all know this is a lie but indulge yourself) under the bed, shoe and in a plastic bag in the toilet systern all good. The more mysterious the more the psychological hit of checking it like a squirel every now and then. iii) Dont take plastic out with you. If you can''t afford it you shouldnt be there. And if you find yourself in a situation where you''re questioning ''why cant i have this treat every now and then'' take a step back and think is it a treat? what am i being sold? when did i get the urge? was it when i passed that poster? saw the ad? or similar? pretty soon the money itself will be beside the point and you''ll be back at the driving seat.
