This paper discusses two different socio-cultural groups who have immigrated to the United States in the last century. It
compares the Hmong (Asian) group with the Latino population and shows how their
cultures have conflicted with the modern American society. It examines how they have preserved their cultures despite the American "melting pot phenomenon".
