The paper shows how certain factors have contributed the
ethical working practices of Scotland. Factors discussed are the
Presbyterian religion where the emphasis is on considering the effects a decision can have upon the community when engaging in
ethical decision making; as well as the legacy of thriftiness left on the country by Scotsman Adam Smith, the father of capitalism.
