location, details of its population and their occupations, the nature and significance of religion and the structure of secular authority. It also investigates the city's cultural, artistic and architectural achievements. The
study concludes by drawing attention to the importance of Alexandria and its civilization to the study and understanding of
ancient cultures around the globe.
