This
paper describes the content of the book, "Work Sister Work", its focus, and the authors' intended purpose in writing
the book. The paper also explains that, in addition to providing useful information about not only black
women in the
workplace, but about the place of all women in the workplace and the changes in the American work force, as well as government efforts to improve the situation, the paper also focuses on how black women, in particular, can empower themselves so that they may survive and thrive in today's workplace.
