This paper argues that that relative earnings and marital stress can be avoided by simply
establishing clear lines of communication
and forming a "joint partnership" to attain specific realistic
financial goals. In other words, each person in a marriage must look beyond any differences they may have in how much they earn - and, instead, combine earnings and embark upon a path toward financial success and security.
