This paper examines how incorporating
content-based
instruction into an ESL citizenship classroom is a way of providing a
meaningful context for language
instruction, while at the same time, offering a vehicle for reinforcing required information. It looks at how teaching through
content is fun and worthwhile for both the students and the teacher and how, although it takes more time to plan and create materials for content-based instruction, the results are well worth the effort.
