This paper is a compare and contrast analysis of the characteristics and effects of
old age on man compared to their younger
fellow species. It looks at the differences in physical and psychological states and examines the dread of some at becoming
old and the measures people take to try and slow down the condition. It also reviews various pieces of literature on the topic of old
age and the elderly.
