This study pertains to
pessimism and its origins, and also, the question of confusion arising as the 'neurotic' trait of
pessimism is missed for the marker of clinical
depression, i.e. Major Depression, that it may also constitute. The problem is one that must be approached by way of several bodies of literature, given burgeoning scientific and theoretical studies continuing to explore the origin of depression in individuals and populations. The disease is typified by a pessimistic attitude towards the present and the future. Indeed, these can the strongest, uniting symptom of Depressive cases.
