This paper discusses the
trafficking of women, the use of force and deception to transfer women into situations of extreme
exploitation especially sexual
exploitation: Women forced to dance nude, perform as sex slaves, held as indentured servants, perform acts of prostitution. The paper points out that the
trafficking of women and children for sex and labor is prevalent in all regions of the United States and around the globe. The author feels that the most effective way to tackle trafficking is at the grass roots level, strengthening local economies and educating women and their families about the dangers of enslavement.
