This essay will
examine the introduction to Heidegger's Being and Time and his essay, "What is Metaphysics?," in order to
examine how one can gain access to a notion of Being. In addition to this, this
essay will look at how one questions such notions of Being as well as the Nothing, which is necessarily connected to any notion of Being, and what place the term Dansein has in this system of thought.
