This paper explains how the Islamic
religion influences the function and role of Muslim women in Islamic society and then
compares their status in society to the status of American women in American society. The author of the paper contends that Muslim women are shaped and
influenced by their
religion, while American women are influenced by society and compares the advantages and disadvantages for women in both societies.
