Keeping Your Attention Focused on Your Goals

Academic Paper Review   by:alantubigon

It's so easy to lose sight of your goals in this busy, hurry-up, activity-oriented world. And any goal becomes useless when you lose sight of it. Keeping your goals focused is an absolute must. How do you do it? Here are several ways;
1. Put up signs or reminders of your major goals and place them where you work. Write one of your major goals on a small card and tape it inside your desk drawer or on top of your desk.
2. Read your goal statement at the beginning of each day. Then make a "things-to-do" list and be sure to include activities that will contribute to achieving one or more major goals.
3. Chart your major goals over time.
4. Visualize achieving your goals. Every day set aside ten minutes or more to visualize the achievement of your most important goal. imagine achieving this goal in as great a detail as possible. If you practice diligently enough you'll find yourself behaving in a manner that's consistent with achieving the goal and increasing your chances of success.
