Why at recently so many Indonesian really want to join for work on board cruise ship? many opinion from them will be answering their question, first is...of course can get more money, second, they can get more experience and third, they can enjoy travelling around the world without paying any money...so interesting isn't?
But, actually for the job or work more hard than work on land base, usually working on board cruise ship they has to spend 12 hours per day, sometimes more hours but the company of cruise ship will pay for over time for it. And the job more widely, let's say work as Laundry attendant, can you imagine every embarkation or disembarkation day or between that day, the Laundry attendant have to wash 3000 - 4000 linens and crew uniform,officers uniform that include their personal clothes, and also guest laundry.
How about Housekeeping Attendant?they are also too busy with preparation their equipment such as caddy (for cleaning tool) or Stateroom Attendant troly or carts for amenities and other service things for guest. The HKA their responsibility is to maintenance the cleanliness inside the ship only, that include lobby or atrium,reception counter,public guest toilet,etc.
When they are finish with their job and the cruise ship along side they allowed go for ashore, relax for a while, buy personal things, or maybe just take a pictures outside. When off duty time usually they go to crew bar for another relaxing place for them, at crew bar they can buy cigarette, beer, soft drink, chocolate, or other snack. The company also facilitated them with crew gym for work out, swimming pool crew, mess room for they take meal,internet cafe,etc.
So??it's really enjoying isn't even though they are have to work hard everyday without day off any single day til their contract finish on 10 months.
