Last year may have gone past at whirlwind speed for you however it's time yet again to make those all important new years changes to help create a better you, so here's my How To guide to create a better you throughout 2011.
1.
If you've made New Year's Resolutions, stick to them! Now I know, that sounds stupid, and for everyone it's practically impossible, but in order to make you feel better about yourself, try your hardest to remove anything than you know may prevent you from achieving this goal. If your aim is to lose some weight before summer, then stick a picture of your ideal bikini body, in the office, on the fridge, anywhere that you visit often but also in places like the biscuit tin to help prevent you from indulging.
2.
Reward Yourself... This sounds like an unusual, but trust me it's one you'll want to remember. After so many good deeds it's natural for the mind to want to wander from your goals and this is the most common cause of people breaking resolutions. If you've not eaten chocolate for a whole week, your body and mind will probably be urging you to delve in whenever you see it, so have a piece but only one or two to help keep you healthy and keep your mind happy.
3.
Be realistic! Don't set goals that you know will be almost impossible to complete, your just making it harder on yourself and that's the last thing you need. Make lists of jobs that need to be completed have it always on hand, note down ideas and thoughts, this will not only prevent you from forgetting them but will also open your mind up to other tasks you may be undergoing.
4.
Try something new every week. This will keep your mind active and stop you from falling into a boring routine which will not stimulate the mind. By trying something different you'll also be opening more opportunities for yourself, learning first aid can look great on your CV and who knows you might something you can do on a regular basis that you really enjoy as well as meeting new people.
Other than these 4 top tips, it's all about self motivation, drink plenty of water and keep your mind active to help you engage in new activities.
