Mireille Guiliano told her own experience when she was a French teenage girl who became fat because she lived in America as an exchange student delegates. It might be a bit bland when seen from the composition because the French had little use sugar in their cooking. They rely more on natural sweetness of the fruit (for main dishes made from fruit). This is where the importance of quality ingredients.

French women eat little but often and varied. So eating activities will not cause boredom. But the French diet is not only about the quality and quantity of food, but includes a whole lifestyle.

I think this book is great as a guide to a healthy diet. If you are interested, try to buy this book and practice. If cooking is not according to your taste, try to mix with the materials commonly used in your area. Not cooking is important, but a healthy lifestyle itself.
