Arthritis and what is it?
Some
of you may be thinking, "I am to young for arthritis, I can' have it".
Or " I don't have Arthritis in my family line, so I can't get it". Well
think again, Arthritis can happen to anyone of any age. Did you know
that Arthritis is just the umbrella term for over 100 different diseases
that are similar in origin. Yeah 100 different ones, and yes EVERYONE
is susceptible to getting it at some point and time. Arthritis is
inflammation of one or more joints. It also causes painful swelling,
irritation, and limited movement. Arthritis does not get better with age
as some seem to think, and it just doesn't go away. It gradually gets
worse and can become a real pain in the butt. Simple tasks become super
hard, and hard tasks become... well, to hard to complete! So before you
brush off that so-called frequent pain you keep having. Take some action
to at least go to the doctor and get some professional advice on the
matter at hand.
All though symptoms may vary from person to person, some of the universal symptoms of Arthritis are as follows
Children
-swollen
knee, may look like they have some fluid or they may walk lopsided.
Sometimes it can be painful other times it will not be be painful for
the child.
-inflammation around the eye area, may cause blindness, this is why children should get an eye exam regularly.
- high fevers associated with inflamed skin rash
- pain in hands, feet, knees, and other joint areas. If your child complains DO NOT IGNORE IT, get it checked out ASAP!

How people fight the symptoms
We
all have our ways of combating pains, usually the most frequent way to
ease the pain is through the use of conventional over the counter drugs.
Some use Yoga, meditation, acupuncture, breathing techniques,
visualization and other methods of elevations. The over the counter
methods include aspirin and ibuprofen and other similar substances. Over
the counter drugs are GREAT for temporarily relieving the pain, but the
problem is you have to use them OVER and OVER. Do you think the
prolonged use can have some sort of overall effect on your body? Well if
you said yes, then you are correct!
THE PROBLEM WITH OVER THE COUNTER MEDICATIONS
I
really won't have to touch base on this too much, the 2 facts I'm about
to give to you should be reason enough to seek an alternative. Feast
your eyes on these facts!
-
THEY CAN KILL YOU!!! Over 15,000 people died because of them last year alone.
-
150,000 people were hospitalized last year because of them. Don't have
insurance or don't really have the money to go well here is a good
enough reason to seek an alternative
-
THEY CAN KILL YOU!!!!!! NEED I SAY MORE...
NSAIDS or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs have been proven to
to be NOT SAFE in terms of long term usage. Arthritis is a LONG TERM
disabling disease, so it makes perfect sense that you should NOT DEPEND
on NSAIDS for relief.
So why aren't they safe?
THE MOST COMMON SIDE EFFECTS OF OVER THE COUNTER MEDS..
-
Stomach ulcers!
-
Bleeding of the intestines!
-
Kidney Damage!
-
Liver damage!
-
Stroke - Heart Attack!
Did you know that smokers should not take more than 2 grams of these
over the counter meds a day. They double their chances of having one of
these complications by adding extra pills. So if you smoke please take
caution!
So what in the world can i do for pain relief that is safe?
(a
word to the wise, all the these techniques have been proven to be
successful in the alleviation of some pain. However, it is known that
each of them require some work before you can start to see some results.
Some you may see results a lot quicker like Acupuncture and Massage
Therapy, but all the others you have to form a new habit around and make
it a daily practice before you feel or see any results)

with pain relief, and gain strength and mobility. Tai chi promotes
