                Language-teaching is a comprehensive
system,a set off diverse parts and elements under a specific plan for reaching many purposes.
The teacher,by being a leader of social group(students/learners),pre-arranged the conditions under which the learners will change their directions in the ways of their real goals.In other words,the learners should be their own best teachers.
It is said that the good effective teacher is not the one who has more knowledge or uses good methods.Indeed,in doing such a task,effectively,the teacher must possess and master certain qualities and characteristics.
the teacher should possess that rare quality which is creativity,because language-teaching is not simply a process of opening a book,doing exercises,...etc in a routine way which results in getting the learners be bordom;the teacherrrrrr should apply a mytiade of techniques such as games,songs,problem solving,...etc to get the students more interested in the subject-matter and more paying attention and concentrating with minds really engaged in the subject- matter.
Besides,the teacher should have an intellectual leadership and an intellectual domination in the classroom which means that he should know more than his learners and be alert of body expressions signs such as puzzlement,understanding,...etc and also he must be the one who takes decisions in order to be respectful and by commanding language,he will be able to impose himself successfully and effectively.
Another quality is that of experience which means that the teacher should be competent manager in the classroom.He should create a healthy environment through which he makes peace domination in the classroom.
He should know how to stimulate learners,motivate them and value every student''s contribution and here a legitime and deserved praise and  interest should be applied.
Also,a foreign-language teacher must be in a strict attitude in which the rules setting-up by the academic institutions must be rigorously followed by him and his learners and here,he must have reticence which means  that he shouldbe behind his barrier to reach a professional relationship with his students and must be consistent in his acts such as applying a threat.
In addition;a he should exercise judgement on the students''reactions which means that he values every student''s contribution by correcting mistakes and treating errors  but by demonstrating where,how and why such mistakes and errors have being corrected and treated.
In other words,the teacher should have an analysis of his feedback which indeed is the correction procedure of tests.
All these qualities contribute in making the teaching-learning process more easily,effective and successful.But,we can say that they are essential qualities in doing such a task at a certain extent because there are many other qualities that contribute in doing that process as treating students as human being without any discrimination be patient,be respectful and essentially love his students and his work.
All in all,we can say that language-teaching process is a very complex and hard task because the teacher needs not only to be a skillful actor and good psychologist byt also and essentially he needs to be at first a human being and in a fireign-language teaching process,education should have as one of its main tasks  TO INVITE PEOPLE TO BELIEVE IN THEMSELVES.IT SHOULD INVITE PEOPLE TO BELIEVE THAT THEY HAVE KNOWLEDGE.
