When She Fought with me……….Secret of Success

Book Summary by: Anandrahi

Original Author: King Solomin
They say wives always fight – although, in my opinion, mostly for the good of their husbands. My wife also used to fight
with me often as she wanted to fulfil my wishes of becoming an immensely successful businessman.
I had vision, stamina, zeal, and an attractive personality to influence others. I was always successful in building a business, but it was difficult for me to maintain the tempo of success. As a wise wife, on my side, she knew that my care-free attitude (most of the young men have it) was causing all the trouble. She wanted me to be more punctual and strict with the workforce.
In that year my London showroom of computers had landed in financial trouble and I was thinking to close it down. My India-based consultancy firm was also in trouble. I loved to manage by complete delegation of authority and there was nothing wrong in it.
One day there was a tiff between us and she got furious. She asked me to sit down in the tone of a strict school teacher. I was somewhat baffled. She spoke in a steely tone:
“Solo, you are a good businessman. I agree. But your carefree attitude towards your managers is causing trouble. Delegation is good but unless you keep a strict vigil on the affairs of the management of an office or company your venture may be in trouble any time. I won’t tolerate any negligence now. Do your best now. If you still fail disband both these projects next year.”
After all, she was an MBA from prestigious IIM. Even her management advice was well-thought. To save myself from trouble I immediately agreed. After that we made love – a hot one of course. (The business problem was solved just in three months).
"Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength,
While loving someone deeply gives you courage." - Lao Tzu
