Gossip Is Not Good

Book Summary by: JudyRamsook

Original Author: Judy Ramsook
There is one in every family, some one who just has to gossip about who knows what to who knows whom. The odd thing is, some
of these gossips are addicted to it. If, for example no one in the family is doing anything wrong enough to speak of, the family gossip will take it upon him or herself to invent something.
When that happens and word of the juicy bit of notoriety finds its way back to the person who is supposed to have done this bad deed, something else can occur as well. That person can become angry, vindictive and most of all hurt. All of which can be targeted to the person who began the gossip in the first place.
How can some one have a happy family relationship with that gossip who insists on spreading whatever rumour he or she wishes to? The truth is, it is difficult, for after falling victim to the family gossip, how can a person start trusting that same individual again?
It won’t be easy, but for the sake of family unity, some people do try and keep the peace. Gossip is not good, it can weave a little world all of its own, creating havoc and chaos everywhere it happens to land. That is so because some people have a way of twisting things around to suit themselves and before you know it, what you will have is a squabble on your hands. For not all persons who become victims of idle gossip are willing to sit still and act as if spoken words of his actions have no effect on him or her.
Some will lash out verbally and try to set things right, and that is when the squabble will begin. Refraining from gossip takes a certain amount of discipline. Those who have such discipline stay away from it and those who don’t weave whatever trouble they can with whomever is willing to listen. Next time the family gossip starts weaving his or her pot of trouble, hope that the victim won't be you.
