The Indian society

Book Summary   by:anshuman chaudhury     Original Author: wing

Our culture heavily influences our way of thinking, the society we live in is heavily influenced by our roots. Here in India, there is a colourful mix of various cultures never seen anywhere else in this world. But the major concern is the way indians think. They have a very different way of thinking, the indians have always been warm and receptive, but it is their thinking that has to change to some extent. Indians are very particular about profession, it does not matter if a person is working hard, it is the designation that matters. Almost all indian parents want their children to become doctors or engineers when they grow up......the lack of "Dignity of Labour" in India is really a harsh truth. One has to understand that money, comes from hard work, and it's the hard work that should be respected. In my opinion, i think there is too much of pressure on the indian youth, as India a highly populated country, the resources are scarce, jobs are hard to find....it's a highly competitive arena. In order to progress, the indians, at some point need to rethink their mindset. There should be appreciation for talent, being doctor or an engineer is not everything in life. Parents should think about the amount of pressure they are putting on their children, it is only then..that i see Indian deveoping. The construction of huge buildings, malls does not account to "development", there has to be a change in the way the people think. There has to be a revolution...and this would be good for India. The present day youth should also be informed about all the values a person needs...a person can be known not only through his profession , but also through the way he lives in a society, the way he behaves with his fellow countrymen. It is a mixture of these values that makes a person fully mature, India needs these kind of people for it's future.....for it's development.
