The central topic of this number is the quality of education. To note initially the excellent photography of cover revealing one of dimensions of the quality concept, namely fundamental dimension: read, write and calculate, illustrated by this small sub-Saharan schoolboy who, with his innocent smile, shows his slate, tool rudimentary, but how much invaluable. To also note the diversity of the authors issue from various horizons, which enrich this topic, by approaching it under various angles of sight on the basis of the experiments lived on the ground by the participants. Mary Joy Pigozzi, taking as a starting point a text draw from the letter from the ADEA presents an evolutionary table of the quality concept. For our large parents the training of the fundamental ones: to read, write and calculate were guaranteeing quality. Today it is hardly if this training is to be registered in a literacy campaign. Other concepts convey the quality concept: universal values, democracy, citizenship, competences and social integration.
